A fitting backdrop for the Harold Steves dinner. He is a noted advocate for the continued use of old trucks - especially by farmers and fishermen. His daughter said that his approach to vehicle maintenance was that no working part on any of his vehicles was removed until it failed. This often stretched the journey between his farm in Steveston and the ranch at Cache Creek from its usual 6 hours to 12 hours. He had
